Singer songwriters are musicians who write, compose, and perform their own musical material, including lyrics and melodies. The style began with the folk-acoustic tradition. Singer-songwriters often provide the sole accompaniment to an entire composition or song, typically using a guitar or piano. The lyrics are often personal but veiled by elaborate metaphors and vague imagery, and their creative concern is to place emphasis on the song rather than the performance.
Born in Lousiana, Frank Lee Pierce spent the majority of his youth growing up in Ipswich, England after crossing the Atlantic Ocean at 3 months old. Throughout his childhood, Frank would spend his summers in California and eventually move to North Carolina at 19 years old in 1979 on a full time basis.
Frank began writing songs and poetry at the very early age of 9 years old. The writing of his original ballads is his true passion along with English Football and his 5 sons. The guitar playing and singing have become the spring board for his song writing.
